IUSSTF Travel Grant for specific exploratory/ planning visits aimed at large scale collaborations
Purpose

To enable scientist from academia and laboratories to undertake exploratory mission or planning visit which are explicitly meant to strengthen already existing collaboration or establish collaborations between new partners through a networking and multi-institutional linkages.
  • Eligibility Requirements
    1. Scientist working at American/ Indian academic and research institutions are eligible
    2. Scientist has NOT availed of financial assistance from IUSSTF in the last two years
    3. Aims to develop joint research activities of outstanding scientific quality carried out at an international level through multi-institutional and trans-disciplinary linkages
  • Program requirements
    1. Activity is in a new, innovative, or interdisciplinary areas
    2. Seeks to strengthen already existing collaboration or establish collaborations between new partners
    3. Leading to a larger-scale and long term interactions to build networked programs involving several Institutions in U.S. and India
    4. Intent from partnering institution towards academic and/or financial commitments
  • Type and Extent of Funding
    1. International and Domestic Airfare (Air tickets to be provided directly by the IUSSTF in economy class & shortest route)
    2. Accommodation (Expenses for accommodation in decent hotel/guest house on actual costs for not more than 7 days)
    3. Per diem (Pocket allowance not more than 7 days to cover incidentals)
  • Proposal Evaluation
Proposals will be considered on basis of peer-reviews conducted both in India and United States towards award.

      • Proposal Guidelines
        1. Proposal should be submitted in the prescribed format as a single WORD.doc.
        2. Proposal should not be more than 16 pages maximum including CVs
        3. Proposal to be submitted electronically as a single word document to both:
