Indo-US Science and Technology Forum (IUSSTF) is an autonomous grant-making body that has been established under an agreement between the Governments of India and the United States of America with the mandate to promote and catalyze Indo - U.S. bilateral collaborations in science, technology, engineering and biomedical research through substantive interaction between academia, industry and governmental agencies of the two countries. The Indo-US Science and Technology Forum has created a set of effective programs that leverage scientific talent, experience, and facilities by connecting leading institutions in India and the U.S. The IUSSTF supports and promotes programs that nurture contacts between scientists and technologists fostering long term productive professional relationships.
Oak Ridge Associated Universities (ORAU) is a university consortium that leverages the strength of 99 major research universities to advance scientific research and education by partnering with national laboratories, government research centers, government agencies, and private industry. ORAU cultivates collaborative partnerships that enhance S&T research and education through a wide range of programs, many of which involve international cooperation. Collectively, ORAU member universities perform more than one-third of the country’s university research and confer one-third of all S&T doctoral degrees. Each year, ORAU arranges more than 4000 appointments for undergraduate students, graduate students, recent postgraduates, teachers, university faculty, and others to engage in ongoing research at federal research facilities of science-mission agencies of the U.S. government.International exchanges are an important component of these programs.
