Executive Director
Dr. Rajiv Sharma took charge as the Executive Director of Indo-US Science and Technology Forum (IUSSTF) in August 2011. By training he is a Mathematician with a PhD in the area of fluid dynamics from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, India. During his professional career spanning more than 26 years, he initiated and implemented several science and technology development and promotion schemes. Dr Rajiv Sharma has a rich and varied exposure of nearly 15 years to international science and technology cooperation. As officer-in-charge of various country desks including US desk from time to time in the Department of Science and Technology (DST) of Government of India, he conceptualised and implemented cooperation with various developing and developed countries. Prior to joining IUSSTF, Dr Sharma was Advisor and Coordinator, International Cooperation Division in DST. In this capacity, he has also been the first Indian Co-Chair of bi-national Indo-German Science & Technology Centre and the US-India Science and Technology Endowment Board.
